WORKING PARENT’S CROCK POT BEEF ROAST
4 lbs blade or rump-type roast
Salt, Pepper, Onion Salt, or Garlic Salt to taste
1 tsp. Paprika
1 medium onion
1/4 cup red wine, distilled white or honey vinegar
1/4 cup corn or soy oil
Place oil and vinegar in bottom of crock pot. Place roast in oil/vinegar blend, with spices and onions over the top of the roast. Set crock pot on low, adding vegetables (carrots, potatoes, etc.) at noon. Serve with Microwave Corn Bread.
CROCK POT SWISS STEAK
2 lbs. round steak cut 3/4″ thick
Salt and Pepper to taste
1 large onion
1 14 1/2 oz. can of tomatoes
Cut round steak into serving pieces. Season with salt and pepper. Place in crock pot with onion. Pour tomatoes over all. Cover and cook on Low 8-10 hours. For CREAMY SWISS STEAK – Follow above recipe substituting cream of mushroom soup and 1/2 cup water for tomatoes. Spread evenly over meat in crock pot.
4 lbs sirloin tip roast (this is the best)
1 can beef broth
1 can beer
1 package dry onion soup mix
1 jar pepperconini
2 garlic cloves
Put all in slow cooker. Cook on low 8-10 hours.
