Featured Recipe: Flank Steak

This delicious recipe is from Linda Stoll, the former superintendent of Wind Cave National Park.


1/4 cup vegetable oil

2 cups honey

1/2 cup soy sauce

2 tablespoons vinegar

1 1/2 teaspoons ground ginger

2 tablespoons green onion chopped

1 large clove garlic minced

1 1/2 pounds flank steak

DIRECTIONS: (makes 6 servings)

Combine oil, soy sauce, honey, vinegar, onion, garlic, and ginger. Pour over the steak. Marinate for 4 hours or longer, turning occasionally. Barbecue over hot coals, turn once. Baste occasionally. Carve diagonally into thin slices.
