Featured Recipe: Sloppy Joes

This featured recipe comes to us from movie star Cheryl Ladd Russell. Cheryl was born in Huron, South Dakota. Cheryl moved to California to pursue a career in acting and music. She starred in many television and feature films. She was Kris on the popular Charlies Angels television program from 1977 to 1981. In 2000, Cheryl was Annie, on Broadway, in Annie Get Your Gun. A highlight in 2001 was a handshake tour to meet and greet troops abroad.


1 pound extra lean ground beef

1 medium onion chopped

1 can tomato soup

2 tablespoons brown sugar

1 tablespoon mustard

salt & pepper to taste

DIRECTIONS: (Makes 6 servings)

Brown hamburger and onions until done. Drain and add remaining ingredients. Warm and serve on home baked hamburger buns.
